Oasis are a British indie group, which took form in Manchester in the early 1990s. The band was formed by Liam Gallagher, and joined soon afterwards by older brother Noel. The group has sold some sixty million albums around the world, amongst them 8 number 1 singles in the United Kingdom. The siblings are the group's main lyricists and the only continual bandmembers.
